Equipment
Chrome wire wheels, Vredestein tires, Lucas driving lights, badge bar, fender mirrors, boot cover, tools, books.
Condition
Represented as matching numbers block and cylinder head. Originally finished in a lighter Pastel Blue. Sound older paint and chrome. Tidy underneath. Small ding on the right taillight bezel. Lovely interior, fully restored other than the gauges. Both the wood and the leather look great. An older restored 140 Drophead that has enjoyed careful ownership and careful driving.
Market commentary
XK Jags took off at Amelia this week, continuing their recent strength in the marketplace and calling into question some observers' skeptical view of declining demographics as older collectors age-out of the market. This was a triumphant result for a drophead coupe without Special Equipment ("MC" in the States) but done to high standards and by Amelia Island auctions' standards it is not an outlier.
