Condition

Restored and maintained in better than new condition. Windshield cracked. Tape stripes. Repaired Thursday after dinging a corner earlier this week. Raced from new by Jacques Peron. Restored by Bob Smith in the 1990s. 2nd in class at Pebble Beach in 2003. Classiche certification not complete.

Market commentary

A particularly attractive early TdF in great condition, after a little backing and filling on the block it sold at Euros 2.1 million hammer, well under its Euros 2,750,000 low estimate. The result is fair to both the buyer and the seller.
