Market commentary
Like all of the lovely ‘50s American luxury cars out of the Clyde Horst collection sold in Indy this year, this Chrysler presents something of a dilemma. For someone who wants a car that they just detail and trailer to and from shows, this one will do just find. For someone who wants a perfect ’56 Chrysler to drive and enjoy, this car doesn’t moves so little under its own power that it will need going through before driving any great distance. The bidders, however, saw this as a concours car with lots of money and consistent attention lavished on it, and they paid concours car money.
