Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

6 cylinder, Powerglide, P W, P S, P B, dual remote spotlights, skirts, continental kit, windshield sunvisor, wire wheel covers, WonderBar radio. Excellent cosmetics, slight taper to door gaps. Paint over old undercoat on chassis. An excellent cosmetic restoration and an attractive driver.

Market commentary

But its a Six! While beautiful freshly restored 56 Bel Air convertibles may bring $80,000 in Scottsdale, cosmetically restored 6 cylinder hardtops are realistically $20,000 cars in Auburn. Re run Monday as Lot 1533 and still unsold at a reported bid of $26,000. Money, however, was significantly absent.
