Equipment

Started for Howard Keck by Quinn Epperly with Jim Travers and Frank Coon for Billy Vukovich in 55 Indiapolis 500. Not finished in time and remained incomplete for 30 years until bought by Jimmy Dobbs. Full envelope body, offset 270 Offy, 4 speed trans for vintage races on road courses. Excellent cosmetics but its preparation leaves a lot to be desired, however. Oil leaks, exhaust manifold leaks, alky leaks. Needs attention before it burns to the ground.

Market commentary

Engine started in the tent for effect. Eardrums destroyed for miles. Beautiful and probably effective body. For a car with no history when new the price is a gift, even if its only a fraction of what Dobbs must have put into its resurrection and completion.
