Equipment
Six, Powerglide, wheelcovers, whitewalls, heater, no radio. Superficially detailed repaint over old paint looks good but sprayed over undercoat in the wheel arches. Good interior, glass and chrome. Underbody sprayed matte black. Repairs visible under paint behind back window.
Market commentary
Crossed the block at Russo and Steele in Scottsdale in 2008 as a $17,000 no sale, then sold at B Js first Las Vegas sale for $28,600. Its an enjoyable cruiser, despite the six, for the price and with a split exhaust manifold, duals and glass packs will sound distinctly different from most of its surviving contemporaries. Most 55 Bel Airs were sixes, and its nice to see one competently cosmetically restored and preserved like this.
