Equipment
Straight six, Hydramatic, wide whitewall tires, oak bed rails. Orange peel in droves on every panel. Paint cracked along hood centerline. Foam tape along leading edge of hood is pulling the new paint from the metal. Underside is dirty and unrestored. A ten footer for those whose eyeglasses were left at home.
Market commentary
$26,400 was a huge price to pay for a truck whose visible problems were as numerous as they were serious. A late addition to the auction with no mention in the catalog, the best that can be said of this Jimmie is that it benefited from the lack of scrutiny. Rare is the restored vehicle where the paint is terrible and everything else has been done correctly. This was a truck better avoided.
