RHD. Silver painted wire wheels, flat adjustable drivers windshield with wraparound clear side screens and hood mounted clear bug deflector. Raced by Giuseppe Farina Luigi Parenti in the 1953 Mille Miglia, DNF. Then sold to Pierre Boncompagni (Pagnibon) who was killed when he crashed it at the Hyeres 12 hour in 1953. Sold to and raced in California, displayed in the Cunningham museum. Owned by the vendor since 1995 and used on the Colorado Grand and Mille Miglia. Good older repaint and interior. Very clean and well maintained but not fresh. Includes invitation to Ferraris Sixtieth Anniversary concours in Maranello. Will be Ferrari Classiche certified after the rear axle control arms are replaced.
Market commentary
Purchased by the phone bidder who also bought the 330 TRI LM and the 330 375 MM. This is not the most attractive Ferrari, but it is eligible for everything and having watched the MM stop at Scaglietti on Saturday the appeal is apparent. It is hard to see this car bringing this much in the States, though. Exhibited at Ferrari 60 Concours, June 2007
