Equipment
Whitewall tires, leather seats, AM radio.
Condition
#4 Fair
Has visible flaws to the naked eye. Runs fine, but could use mechanical or cosmetic attention.
Paint is chipped everywhere including a huge chunk that is missing from under the driver’s side taillight, brightwork is pitted badly, engine compartment is very grimy, seats are torn and wrinkled, the interior is badly aged. An original car that is too far gone for continued preservation.
Market commentary
About as cheap as you will find a 1953 Corvette, and with as many needs as any you're likely to ever see. Important cars in America's automotive history, but prices have been on the slide. The economics of a restoration make sense now, but that may not stay true for too long.
