Equipment
White wire wheels, treaded Dunlop Racing tries, bench seat, dual Plexiglas wind screens, cycle fenders, hydraulic brakes.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
The first customer Lotus and the first to wear the Lotus badge. Raced when new by the first owner, Adam Currie, and sometimes by Colin Chapman. Five owners from new and stated to be the original chassis, engine and coachwork. Presented like an honest old race car after a restoration completed in 1995. Erratic wiring, crudely painted engine.
Market commentary
A significant piece of automobile, particularly British, history and a welcome entrant in most historic events, tours and competitions. Its aged condition aids the [proper] decision to keep it active, as does the modest price it brought for such an important artifact.
