Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Specially bodied by Jaguar competition department in magnesium alloy for 1954 Daily Express Touring Car race at Silverstone where the three car team took all three podium spots with Moss apparently 3rd in this car, then used by the Experimental Department until sold to Bob Berry in 1958. Now extensively modified for vintage racing and track ready.

Market commentary

This result is quite modest for the cars history and vintage racing potential. Just dont scratch the body panels and light a match nearby. The new owner will have a blast with it, and surprise many drivers who though they owned fast cars. Great Moss quote, ... the chassis hanging on surprisingly well through the corners while the body sort of trailed along behind, like a scarf.
