Equipment

The ex Phil Hill 1950 Pebble Beach Road Race winner. Fresh paint since last seen in Arizona in January and much the better for it. Still largely unrestored, with only fair door and trunk fits.

Market commentary

A no sale at RMs Arizona Biltmore auction in January at $135,000 the consignor has had a good paint job done and dropped the estimate by 15%, still without success. Ill stand by my position in January that its history warrants a 50% premium over an ordinary alloy XK 120, making it a $150,000 car, regardless of its cosmetics. The Quail Lodge bidders obviously didnt agree.
