Equipment
270 GMC six, in and out transmission, transverse leaf spring suspension, lever shocks, rear drum hydraulic brakes, single modern bucket seat, center steering. Sharp paint on new body panels, repainted old frame and suspension. Clean, fresh engine and driveline. Looks ready to go and has real history from the Forties, but is not particularly exciting. No Reserve.
Market commentary
Not particular exciting is apparently a relative term. The bidders at Joes Garage got plenty excited, paying real, serious money for a roadster jalopy race car. If the buyer was paying for evidence of age this price might be appropriate for the rust pits that were cleaned up but still visible on everything except the body panels. Otherwise its a jalopy for which serious race car money was paid. Cars like this can be duplicated in about a months time from junkyard parts. If this price is any indication its time to start an assembly line
