Equipment
Flathead V8, manual transmission, tan painted steel wheels and trim. Passenger side mounted spare tire. Very nice paint on body and frame. New seat upholstery with new oak wood framing in cargo area. Engine has received limited cosmetic attention. Carburetor is bright chrome gold. Block and heads are dirty and chipped. Front tires are different from rears which are different from the spare. A usable truck, but not an attractive one.
Market commentary
Old trucks seem to be stuck between being collected and being used. Most trucks at Barrett were restored to a level that makes them ill suited for hauling anything other than Boy Scouts in the local parade. This Ford on the other hand was very nice but decidedly ready for use. The relatively low price might just make that happen.
