Equipment
RHD. Chrome wire wheels, skirts wide whitewalls, Marchal head and fog lights. A barely presentable cosmetic restoration but only up to touring standards and now somewhat aged even with six year old paint, interior and wheels. It was cataloged as an older, complete restoration (dating from the 1980s) which experience shows to be iccurate.
Market commentary
Offered at Barrett Jackson in 1993 in barn find condition, it no saled at $35,000. Next seen at B J in 2000, still ratty, it got to $50,000 but didnt find a home. By B J 2001 it had gotten a repaint in black and a new interior and filly sold for a very healthy $103,680. The buyer tried to do a flip at Auburn Fall but it under impressed, drawing a bid of only $74,000. By last year it had become a tax writeoff gift to the AACA and sold at the Hershey Auction for $151,800, which was an impressive price for its presentation, but not nearly as impressive as it brought today.
