Equipment
No Reserve. RHD. Cream wire wheels, whitewall tires, triple Solex carburetors, no top, broken clear plastic steering wheel, skirts, small finned rear deck. A tired museum display car, not running with a casual old repaint generously oversprayed underneath. Pitted chrome, tired, stiff plastic upholstery, no top but appears to have a complete set of bows and supports. No coachbuilders identification, attributed to Antem based on design and features. Needs everything but will be an excellent, largely complete restoration project.
Market commentary
A beautiful example of French design from the early postwar years with one of the best French chassis and drivetrains of the classic period but a sorry, neglected, poorly treated old hulk of a car that will inhale money in its restoration. Had the body been Figoni & Falaschi or Saoutchik it might have a chance of coming out the other end of the restoration process with accolades and concours honors. Attributed to Jean Antem is scant comfort and it is expensive at this price.
