Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

3.2 liter, 72hp side valve six cylinder engine. Wide whitewalls on disc wheels, dual sidemounts, spotlight, cowl mounted trafficators, Phillips radio. Good paint, interior and chrome. Chassis is tidy and repainted. Wide whitewalls are dirty and scraped. A competent but not impressive cosmetic restoration of an undistinguished pre war Mercedes.

Market commentary

This is a generous price for this cars presentation. It was cars like this that kept Mercedes Benz in business, supplying the successful middle managers and bureaucrats of the Thirties, but it is inherently uninteresting, a German Buick of little style and less technical interest and a Buick at least had a valve in head eight under the hood.
