Equipment
Dual enclosed sidemounts with minors, trim rings, wide whitewalls, leather covered steering wheel, rollup divider. CCCA tiol First Prize 2298. 91,232 miles. Good paint, chrome, top and body fits. Seat coverings redone but trim and interior panels look origil. Dashboard has been crudely repainted but instruments look untouched. Chassis was done like new, then toured and is covered in oil mist and road grit. A mixed bag but an inherently handsome and elegant automobile.
Market commentary
The catalog description of this car is better than the car I saw on the field. Its good, but its not a show quality late 90s restoration by experts. The price clearly shows that the folks who really counted, the ones with money behind their opinions, felt the same way and even the seller recognized in accepting the high bid that this was enough money for the mediocre presentation of this very handsome and distinguished Lincoln. Sometimes the auction companies really work to make the deal. This is a good example.
