Equipment
Wide whitewalls, Bustle trunk added later. Competently restored with good paint, interior and chrome although not appropriate with the leather interior. Described as a 1935 given to someone named Portor Gordon by E.L. Cord, but its a 1937 812 Caught fire on the way back into the display field after crossing the block. Not damaged badly, but smoky and smudged. Wednesday. No Reserve.
Market commentary
A particularly ostentatious car that looks like a rolling refrigerator in its monochrome white livery. An astute dealer commented, If Id paid $118,800 for a Westchester Id want it to catch fire, too. Enough said.
