Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Grey painted wire wheels, wide whitewalls, dual rear spares, outside exhaust headpipes, trafficators, Black steering wheels, mother of pearl instrument panel. Owned by French abstract artist Georges Mathieu since 1958, restored by AndrT Lecoq in the late 80s resulting in Lecoq being named 1989s Best Art Restorer and still as good as its awards imply. Excellent paint, chrome and interior, appears to have been little used since restoration.

Market commentary

For the quality of the restoration, the inherent quality of the 500K and its Georges Mathieu history the buyer got full value for Euros.
