Equipment
LHD. Sliding divider window, wide whitewalls, dual sidemounts, luggage trunk, rollup blinds, smokers kits, jump seats and plenty of other stuff. Never restored, and probably never apart, but regularly serviced and occasionally cosmetically freshened. New cylinder head in 1968 R Rs last PII replacement head. Several long term owners took very good care of this Springfield Rolls Royce survivor with attractive but not ostentatious American coachwork.
Market commentary
Original body chassis, luxuriously but not opulently equipped in a fashion appropriate to the Depression, never restored, known history, sound, presentable and usable condition. The buyer got a heck of a deal not that its cheap, but it is the top of the line Rolls Royce for 25 30 money and lefthand drive and American bodied to boot. Collectors werent looking at Newport, and this one slipped past most of them. This is a very good value.
