Market commentary
A sound basis from which to begin a restoration, this car was sold at Bonhams Brookline auction in April 2007 for $46,800, GBP 23,300 at the time. It was in much the same condition as offered here, although with a bit more elaborate and entertaining history. Its hammer price today is GBP 27,000 so even after commissions and transport the seller has put away a modest return on investment. The new owner faces a long but not daunting restoration to realize its potential.
