Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Wide whitewalls on Red wire wheels, dual chrome wrapped sidemounts, dual windshields, wind wings, remote spotlight, Sparton horn, luggage trunk. 1980 AACA Senior, 82 AACA Grand tiol winner. Paint cracking but otherwise very good and still generally highly presentable. Impressive, even at its age.

Market commentary

A rare body style that brought a premium price. The last 32 Phaeton seen at auction was B J in 1999 in comparable condition and it brought $32,300. While the overall market is not up 72% since then the demand for high quality cars in rare body styles like this has outstripped the market as a whole. This price is what it takes to have one of the 2,596 Deuce Phaetons built.
