Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

425 400hp Buick ilhead, six Strombergs, Turbo Hydramatic, F 100 pickup juice brakes, Positraction rear axle. No top. No engine cowling. Plenty of paint dings and chips. Painted over gouge in the drivers door. Passengers door has dent in panel, and both doors are out of alignment. Lots of chrome in engine compartment. Front frame all chrome. As is oil pan, altertor, intake cover, etc. Built in the 1960s by Jim Cooper, preserved and recently frehsened. Recent winner of a Goodguys Period Perfect award. Titled as a 1961. No Reserve.

Market commentary

This is a bargain. There is just simply no way around it. The last car offered by RM in Monterey, it was bought for a pittance. Beware of No Reserve late at night. Its the time when the bottom fishers bring out their long lines and heavy sinkers hoping to score a big catch after most everyone else has gone home.
