Equipment
Apple Green wire wheels, dual Beige cloth covered sidemounts, blackwall tires, quail radiator ornament, rumble seat, luggage rack, Sparton horn, outside rear view mirror, single vacuum wiper. Decent older restoration with very good, paint, chrome, upholstery and glass. Top and sidemount covers are discolored from age. Top piped in Apple Green to match wheels but faded. Wheels dont match coachline. Engine is OK but has had coolant leaks with some resulting paint pealing and residue. Still a very nice driver once it is returned to running condition.
Market commentary
This Model A opened at $16,000 and went right to $28,000, which would have been an appropriate price to pay for it. The bidders kept right on going, which resulted in this generous price considering the age of its restoration and long dormant period in the Seal Cove Museum.
