Equipment
Well known car displayed for many year by Eldon Ebby as a fully restored chassis and drivetrain. Completed with the original body and engine to this chassis many years ago, 1982 AACA National First Place, 86 Pebble Beach. Chrome wire wheels, rumble seat, wide whitewalls, chrome solid (not flex pipe) outside exhaust, Pilot Rays, dual sidemounts, dual remote spotlights, luggage rack, wooden running boards. Later supercharger. Still in excellent condition, particularly for the age of the restoration, and in all but a few details (including a nasty oil leak from the engine) show ready.
Market commentary
A spectacular Duesenberg with known history and handsome coachwork. It didnt crack a million dollars and that, along with the $270,000 paid for Willoughby Limousine 2438 today, pretty much tells the story of Duesenberg Js values today.
