Market commentary
Sold by RM at Meadow Brook in 2005 for $211,750 to John OQuinn paying a generous hammer price $15,500 over the low estimate which was the same then as it is now. This car didnt reach reserve on the block but was put together within a few minutes. The new owner will enjoy a pleasant driving experience along with the comfort that comes from knowing that if something breaks or is damaged its repairable without damaging the cars value. This is an appropriate price for this 734. RM offered another 734 Speedster, ex Harrahs, from the Lyon Family collection at Monterey in August with the same chassis number. Looks like the Generals is the real one and this is a serious misrepresentation.
