Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome wire wheels, dual sidemounts, luggage trunk. Older show quality restoration, showing some age but no particular flaws beyond cracked paint by the gas tank and the drivers inside door handle lying on the floor. Needs nothing except some TLC. First owned by Frank Lloyd Wright and painted during restoration in a variant of Wrights favored Cherokee Red.

Market commentary

This is a very fine example of a very fine automobile and the Frank Lloyd Wright connection materially enhances its value. Its worth at least the amount reportedly bid for the car in this condition and probably another $20 30,000, at least in my mind, for its relationship to the legendary architect. Its easy to imagine how this cars style would have appealed to him.
