Equipment
Cataloged as one of only four Ruxton roadsters known to survive but other sources suggest as many as nine; ex D. Cameron Peck and Bill Lassiter. Dual sidemounts, disc wheels, Woodlites, folding windshield, luggage rack, rumble seat. Spectacularly restored in flamboyant colors, shown and a prize winner everywhere, easily the most recognized Ruxton in the world. Excellent paint, brilliant chrome to Sp On wrench standards and fine, unblemished interior. No Reserve.
Market commentary
This is an instantly recognized car as well as one of the more daring technical concepts of the late Twenties. With only four (or even nine) out there and only something like twenty Ruxtons in total the price is what the bidders in Elkhart today say it is. It is a sound value when compared with similarly beautiful and rare roadsters. The colors dont appeal to all but the restoration and presentation are so good the colors are irrelevant. Well bought.
