Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Parabeam headlamps, luggage trunk, dual sidemounts with mirrors, disc wheels with trim rings and blackwall tires. Owned by Emile Dutch Petijean in Waterbury, CT from 1935 1982. Restored in the early 90s for Bill Ruger, Sr. Subsequently mechanically freshened and turn signals and overdrive added in 2008. Nice leather but carpet is old. Paint older but decent. Chrome dull. Nice wood accents. A classic Packard for touring.

Market commentary

Sold at Christies Pebble Beach from Bill Rugers estate in 2002 for $55,000. The price here is appropriate to the cars history and its ready to tour condition.
