Equipment
4 doors, two row seats, cowl lights, black wood spoke wheels, blackwall tires, spotlight, opening windshield. Good paint, interior and wood. Some varnish sags. Chassis superficially cleaned up and squirted chassis black. Orderly but not restored engine. A usable and visually attractive driver. No Reserve.
Market commentary
Sold by Bonhams in Brookline, Massachusetts in 2005 for $20,125, then by RM in Ft. Lauderdale in 2010 for $16,500 with some attention and detailing since. It needs nothing, and frankly anything done to it short of a full restoration would just add to its sunk cost with little effect on its value. As woodie wagons go, however, this is as inexpensive as they come, as well as being an unusual Dodge that will likely stand alone even in the most extensive woodie collection. An astute acquisition.
