Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Dual rear spares, tilt wheel, unusual bodywork with a third seat under the top in the rear. An important Leland built Lincoln before the marques acquisition by Ford. A sound and presentable older restoration with good cosmetics. It shows the age of its restoration but will clean up nicely.

Market commentary

Superbly engineered and built but also drably styled right down to its body color radiator shell, this Leland Lincoln vividly illustrates both the distinction and the Achilles heel of the early Lincolns. Even at this price in the middle of Bonhams estimate range it is a good value in a rare automobile of quality. Bought by a member of the Wiglesworth family. This buyer is probably David Wiglesworth.
