Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Wheel discs, dual windshields, dual spotlights, dual sidemounts, flared fenders with step plates. Overhead cam six. Spectacular colors, shows some age, paint defects and minor cracks. Good interior shows little use, some thin nickel trim, good glass. Built for the Maharajah of Idar and allegedly used for tiger hunting. One of very few surviving Farmans. Wolfgang Gawor collection.

Market commentary

Its safe to say that this transaction will define the Farman market for some years to come. The quality of the paint wasnt particularly impressive but re creating the original fish scale paint could come up with something really outstanding.
