Equipment

Chrome spoke wire wheels, dual sidemounts, Hispano Suiza front axle and finned drum brakes, electric starter, no top, drum headlights. Found in Argentina in the early 60s and brought to the U.S. Languished for years until it was acquired by the present owners in 2001. Pebble Beach Motoring Classic, Tour dElegance and Concours in 2005. Frame painted over old rust pits but otherwise way better than it ever was in the Argentine, with excellent body paint, interior, chrome and engine. There is some Packard documentation for this cars shipment to Argentina as a factory bodied Runabout with this chassis number

Market commentary

Period race reports in Argentina mention a Twin Six several times, so the notion isnt as farfetched as it might first appear. The car is beautifully done and very well documented since leaving Argentina in 1963, a time when no one was bothering to fake old race cars out of the Pampas. Its reliability has been demonstrated. Its a desirable combination of condition and fun at this price.
