Equipment
Frontenac overhead valve engine (built by the Chevrolet brothers), Ruxtell two speed differential, five National Wire painted spoke wheels, Livingston vee radiator, pivoting headlights linked to steering, monocle windshield and central spotlight. Exceptionally well restored and maintained, with no indication of wear or usage. A few overly enthusiastic uses of brass embellishment (such as additional Ford scripts on the dash & body), but overall a very visually striking period piece.
Market commentary
Just about every other Model T speedster is cobbled up with parts unknown but this one is the real deal: period built with supporting documentation and an article in the Model T Times. Magnificently and accurately restored, loaded with period speed equipment which can only be described as precious, it is impossible to argue with the valuation the bidders at this very specialized sale put on it.
