Condition

Restored some years ago, never run since then and resplendent in gorgeous Merkel orange paint and nickel brightwork.

Market commentary

Flying Merkels are few and far between. It's almost a shame that this one has never been run since it was restored. But if anything at RM's 'The Art of the Automobile' auction is art it's this magnificent old Flying Merkel and it brought a reasonable price.
