Market commentary

Selden claimed to have built 1,628 vehicles in 1911 although with only six survivors from the production years of 1907 1914 the veracity of that claim is as dubious as George Seldens patent on the automobile. People who complain about todays silly patents on things like one click ordering should recall that back in 1895 George could patent the automobile ... without ever having built one. The bidders here in Hershey had a sense of history and paid dearly for it. The seller, who has had a long and successful run with this Selden, should be overjoyed.
