Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Varnished wood spoke wheels, folding windshield, dual mirrors, cowl lights, luggage trunk, nickel brightwork. Thirty year old concours restoration that has held up exceptiolly well. Recently mechanically gone through to make it tour ready. Believed to be the only surviving 1911 Model D Torpedo. Best Veteran Car at the 2009 Glenmoor Gathering, despite the age of its restoration.

Market commentary

Franklins, despite the excellence of their engineering, reliability and quality of construction, just dont command the prices of some of their better known contemporaries. While that may irk Franklin owners it offers Franklin buyers a lot of value for the money, as this result demonstrates. Its market correct but a very good value.
