Equipment

Single semi-elliptical leaf spring on each side with perch rod and trailing arms to locate rear axle. Dual chain drive from opposed twin with mechanical valves. Top frame mounts, but no top or frame.

Condition

Tired but complete old restoration displayed for many years in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Cracked paint. Plywood mudguards. Sound, but not ready to be driven.

Market commentary

Bought at the Bonhams auction in Brookline in 2008 for $44,460 fresh from the Museum of Science collection and in essentially the same condition as it was offered here. An ouch for the seller but a good value for the new owner.
