Equipment

RHD. The 1905 Land Speed Record setter with speeds of 109.65 mph in France and 122.5 mph on the sand at Ormond Beach. Later purchased by Algernon Lee Guinness and continued to set records. Broken up at some point long ago except for the 25.5 liter V8 engine still attached to cut off frame rails. Reacquired by Guinness and sold by his widow to Gerald Firkins in 1956. Restored over the next fifty years, two speed axle re created. Enthusiastically demonstrated for all and sundry over the past year. Better than new.

Market commentary

This is a surprisingly modest price, particularly in + Sterling but also in US$, for an historic, one of a kind, land speed record setting automobile from the Age of Heroes. 122 mph perched atop this monster is a, literally, awesome accomplishment. The buyer got great value for money and an automobile that will always be the center of attention. Very well bought.
