Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Wheel steering, dual right running board sidemount spares, trumpet bulb horn, Atwood kerosene sidelights, fatman steering wheel, electric taillight, lightweight coil booster springs. VCC dated 1904 in 1970, an authentication which may not stand up to later scholarship. Good paint and upholstery. Dull brass. A sound old restoration easily returned to very high quality cosmetic and mechanical condition.

Market commentary

The buyer of this Maxwell may have acquired a little controversy over its age but is protected by its prior VCC dating and 1971 LBVCR participation. With its 16hp 2 cylinder engine and Maxwells well known reliability its ideal for old car events and tours, a sound value at this price.
