To put that theory to the test, back in July we dropped three Hagerty employees in Nashville, Tenn. each armed with $5,000 and one goal: To find the very best example of a collector car and drive it to Auburn, Ind., to consign it to Auctions America’s fall sale. The results are in, and there was one clear winner.
