2026 Chevrolet Corvette Getting Two New Colors
Broadly speaking, there are two schools of thought when it comes to choosing a color for a sports car. Some argue that more subtle colors, like silver, white, and black, are the way to go for a more low-key look. Others insist that brighter colors, such as yellow, orange, and green, are better suited to something that’s fast, loud, and often pretty expensive. Regardless of which side you agree with, Chevrolet will give you a new option for 2026. It’s adding two colors to the Corvette palette. One is subtle; The other is not.
Posting on Instagram, Chevrolet announced that Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic will be available for the next model year. Roswell Green Metallic is a fairly vibrant color that’s seemingly named after an alien, though we’ve never seen one to tell you whether or not it’s accurate. Let us know in the comments if you’ve got alien-spotting experience. Blade Silver Metallic tilts towards the lighter, almost white side of the silver scale. Both may look different in person than in scaled-down pictures, however.
Buyers in the market for a 2025 Corvette Stingray have 10 colors to choose from, but the C8 isn’t currently available in green or in silver. We’ll need to be patient to learn more about the changes in store for 2026. We’re notably curious about whether the two new colors will join the existing 10 colors, or if Chevy will cap the palette at 10, which would mean consigning two options to the attic. Pricing hasn’t been released, either. As of writing, five of the available colors are free. Rapid Blue costs $500, while the remaining four each cost $995. We wouldn’t be surprised if the two new additions make their way to the list of additional-cost options.
This isn’t the first time Chevrolet shuffled the C8 color palette around. For 2025, the Corvette gained two new colors called Competition Yellow Metallic and Hysteria Purple Metallic, respectively. The changes made for 2025 also included a new wheel design for the Z06 and a new interior color called Habanero.
I could bleed tow-tie red, and have on occasion. I’m near Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the dealers in the area still have over 140 2024 Corvettes in stock and plenty of 2025’s. I can’t see that new “Gangrene” helping 2026 sales. Now a manual transmission might get me walking to a Chevy store.
I spoke to Tadge about this very subject and he said basically: nothing doing, the C7 will be the last manual. As to why, he said that basically because of the engine control systems that building a manual and automatic even with sequental manual capabilities is like building two separate platforms and cars. $$$ Maybe one of those dealers has a 7 speed three pedal car ? Cheers. It’s what I drive and I’ll not part with it soon.
