Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky Gives Buyers Yet Another Configuration For Their 4×4
Earlier in 2025, Jeep added a vibrant shade of green called Mojito! to the Gladiator’s palette. It’s again expanding the range with an appearance package called Dark Sky that bundles specific styling cues.
Offered exclusively on the Sport S trim, which is positioned near the bottom of the range, the Dark Sky Appearance Package includes a domed hood similar to the one fitted to the Mojave trim, body-colored wheel arch flares, gloss black accents on the front bumper, as well as a set of dark-colored exterior decals and badges. The result is a fairly distinctive look reminiscent of the blacked-out special-edition trims that we’ve seen from other car brands in the past few years. Buyers can also order a body-colored three-piece removable hardtop for an additional $1,995. Previously, the Sport S was only offered with a black hardtop.
Note that you can add the Dark Sky package to any Sport S, regardless of the paint color you choose—even Mojito! Jeep’s pictures show a Gladiator in stealth mode, but you can order a much brighter truck.

Jeep is not including any mechanical updates in the Dark Sky package. Power comes from an unchanged, Sport S-sourced 3.6-liter V-6 that’s rated at 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It spins the rear or the four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. If you’ve got toys or tools to carry around, the Gladiator can tow up to 7,700 pounds and haul up to 1,725 pounds.
Available now, the Dark Sky Package adds $1,495 to the price of a Sport S, which carries a base price of $43,595 including destination. Tick the Dark Sky box, and you’ll be out the door for $44,208. That’s not exactly cheap, but Jeep points out that it’s cheaper than adding the package’s features individually.
Get rid of the 2 back doors and cut 5k off the price and I might think about it.
They did that before and it failed. Remember the Scrambler.
We has a customer turn a Scrambler into a dually. I hated lifting that thing is was so tail heavy but it looked cool.
The Scrambler was pretty useless as a pickup. I would also consider a shorter Gladiator with 2 less doors and a bed that could carry stuff.
I know it’s not pricey compared to other vehicles but I just don’t see $40k+ worth of vehicle here.
