The Scoggins Go To Barrett

John Scoggin, of Mokelumne Hill, California, won the first annual Hagerty Protection Network Online Hobby Survey Sweepstakes. Scoggin and his wife, Gayle, received a weeklong trip to the 2003 Barrett-Jackson Classic Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, courtesy of Hagerty Insurance. Scoggin’s name was randomly selected from more than 4,000 respondents who participated in the largest-ever-online hobby survey.

While in Scottsdale, the Scoggins saw some of the world’s finest collector cars, took a guided tour of the auction grounds, relaxed in the Hagerty lounge (where they met company president McKeel Hagerty), and participated in Sports Car Market’s Insider’s Tour.

“The Hagerty representatives made this prize unforgettable for my wife Gayle and me,” says Scoggin, who admitted he’d never won anything before, and that this was his first visit to the world-famous auction venue. “They took us under their wings to help us get oriented to ‘The World’s Greatest Car Show.’ Barrett-Jackson is a car auction but so much more. My advice to fellow car collectors is if you haven’t been there, GO!”
