This 1935 Auburn 851 Sedan is eighty percent original as it left the factory in Connersville, Indiana. New for 1935 was Gordon Buehrig’s restyling of the grille, hood and front fenders. This vehicle features an all-steel body; Auburn started using all-steel bodies before many other manufacturers. Note the original broadcloth interior and the metal dashboard, painted to resemble wood grain. The front portion of the front windows and the windows for the rear seat can be opened in such a fashion that would circulate fresh air through the car. New, this car sold for $1,188, without any options added.
