In May, a supercharger was announced for Duesenberg passenger cars. This boosted the horsepower to 320 horsepower and upped the top speed by an additional ten miles per hour. On July 26, 1932, the automotive world was saddened by the death of engineering giant Fred Duesenberg. He passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was only 55 years old. In addition, Harold T. Ames replaced E. L. Cord as president of Duesenberg, Inc. This vehicle sold new for approximately $14,750.
