The Sport Sedan was a popular model with Auburn buyers. The eight-cylinder Auburn was the least expensive eight on the market. This vehicle is a blind-quarter panel sedan for five passengers. Auburn introduced Lockheed four wheel hydraulic brakes and a Bijur chassis lubrication system that was also featured on Packard and Rolls-Royce automobiles. The Bijur provided lubrication of all chassis points by the operation of a single pedal. This service was previously done by hand. Auburn once again used speed as an implement for attracting buyers. The cars competed in South America and the United States, gaining much attention for the company by their performance. The wheelbase measures 125 inches, and the car weighs 3,550 pounds. A new Auburn 8-88 Sport Sedan cost $1,595.
