Was looking for a golf cart but ran across this Dune Buggy. 1959 Chassis, 1970 Body. While the Beautiful heavy metal-flake paint and body were in great condition, the interior and mechanicals needed some love. After 2 years it now has a rebuilt 1600cc engine and a later model heavy webbed 4 speed trans which shifts properly as the coupler and bushing have been replaced. All new brake and fuel systems. Replaced all the old wiring completely and integrated proper fuse panel and relays; new gages and switches provide reliability while the original VW center cluster displays accurate vehicle speed. Original convertible top is period correct and in nice shape. I'm getting back into drag racing so this rare gem is now available. New tires all around. Top up or top down, Cruise it in your neighborhood; take it to a car show, or go off road.

Paint and exterior

Overall great condition. I kept it period correct as you can see with the front and rear turn signals, and the VW Bus tail lights. The 3 diamond window Bimini top gives it a sinister look. Rear "bed" is accented by stainless luggage rack.

Upholstery and interior

New interior features oversize foam and custom leather double pleat with body color diamond stitching. Seats are backed with Marine fabric and stainless staples. Side panels and rear "bed" match the seats. Push button start. All fresh.
