The "Crash Cab"

Started life as a stripped down shell of a 1975 Olds Cutlass. Body-off build with the frame plated in 1/4" steel front to rear. The body shell itself is sheeted in 14-gauge steel for added strength since the figure eight racing series are full-contact with bumping, banging, and spinning allowed and encouraged. Finished the build last year and has a little over one season on the car now.

Paint and exterior

Michigan-style V-8 class figure eight and bump-n-run race car.

Upholstery and interior

Kirkey aluminum race seat with four-point harness and very reinforced roll cage

Engine

Original Engine: No

Bone-stock Chevy 305 with an RV cam and good rear gear.

Wheels and tires

Power King "Super Traxion" 8-ply mud tires on Pontiac rally wheels up front. Competition only rally-racing tires, or old school snow tires on the rear.
